John Engelbert

As head of Skybridge’s Finance, Accounting and Human Resources functions, John provides critical leadership along with accurate financial information and analysis to staff, stakeholders and partners.
Among his talents and achievements: a track record of successful financial leadership; significant accomplishments in bringing strategic focus and business sense to operations; strength in developing processes, systems and automation; a proven ability to interpret business performance to lenders, investors and management; and success at managing change, including turnarounds and restructuring.
John earned a B.S. in business administration and economics from the University of Minnesota–Duluth, and he earned his M.B.A. at the University of Minnesota’s Carlson School of Management. He is also a Certified Public Accountant.

Interesting Fact:
Upon an initial glance you may not expect it, but John is an accomplished “do it yourselfer” – his home construction projects range from a two-story home addition to adding bathrooms. His favorite project involved splitting his one car garage into 3 pieces, saving the fully assembled sides and rafter materials (& money!) and rebuilding as a two car garage.
